INTERGEO 2026 concluded in Munich after three days bringing together the international geomatics, geoinformation and land management community.
According to figures released by the organisers, this year's event attracted more than 18,600 visitors from 121 countries, with over 530 exhibitors from 44 countries. The INTERGEO CONFERENCE also welcomed 1,250 participants from 46 countries, confirming the international reach of the event.
From 15 to 17 September, companies, professionals, researchers and public-sector representatives met in Munich to explore the ongoing transformation of geospatial technologies and their applications.
Among the most prominent themes were GeoAI, Digital Twins, Reality Capture, Earth Observation, BIM, positioning technologies and connected geospatial infrastructures, with growing attention to the integration of sensors, software, cloud platforms and artificial intelligence into increasingly connected workflows.
As an INTERGEO 2026 Media Partner, GEOmedia followed the event directly from Munich with its editorial team, meeting companies and international geospatial professionals and collecting interviews and insights that will form the basis of upcoming editorial coverage.
Rather than ending with the exhibition, GEOmedia's INTERGEO coverage will now continue by examining the technologies, strategies and different industry perspectives that emerged during the three days in Munich.
The next INTERGEO will take place in Frankfurt am Main from 12 to 14 October 2027.
